Job Summary: The

Diageo Facilities and Fleet Manager will be responsible for the organization,

control and coordination of the strategic and operational management of

buildings and facilities to ensure the proper and efficient operation of all

physical aspects, creating and sustaining a safe and productive environment.

The incumbent will oversee the improvement and delivery of business critical

services of fleet and contractor management to maximize efficiencies and value

add to the business


Key Duties and

Responsibilities: 


1. Facilities Management:

  • In

    charge of project planning and management of office builds,

    refurbishments, moves and the cyclical redecorations (external and

    internal) management

  • Space

    planning and management to ensure the best use of the facilities and

    manage the general upkeep and maintenance

  • Ensure

    compliance with relevant legislation and standards – health and safety

    standards and legal requirements

  • Coordinate

    office furniture and amenities to ensure they are in good working

    condition

  • Actively

    monitor and track fleet utilization – vehicle condition, service history,

    speed limit adherence, fuel utilization, etc.

  • Implement

    capability development programs (e.g. defensive driving and basic vehicle

    maintenance) to ensure staff are skilled in managing their vehicles

  • Effect

    / enforce controls and implement consequence management to enhance adherence

    to policy


3. Contractor Management:

  • Manage

    contracts related to cleaning services, catering services, security

    and building maintenance

  • Identify

    risks and areas of organizational exposure and Implement business

    continuity plans to mitigate and manage risks

  • Develop

    /review and implement processes to deliver efficient fleet management

  • Develop/implement/monitor

    adherence to policies and procedures

  • Develop

    and implement systems to standardize contractor management across the

    business

  • Establish

    and implement mechanisms for contractor engagement to build and strengthen

    relations with UBL

  • Establish

    a system of controls to ensure that contracted services support both safe

    facility operations and the company’s process safety and personal safety

    performance goals.

  • Compile

    and send regular reports on performance, productivity and operations


4. Other Support services: Offer timely support for IA settlement – housing, immigration follow

up, personal property clearance, etc.


Qualifications, Skills and

Experience: 

  • The

    ideal candidate should preferably hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a Business

    related field

  • At

    least three to five years’ experience is managing the following areas;

    Contractor management, Facilities and office services management, working knowledge

    of Health and Safety Management and Management of small capital projects

  • Project

    Management skills

  • Working

    knowledge of procurement, negotiation and management of external services

  • Organizational

    skills

  • Relationship

    management skills

  • Problem

    solving and decision making

  • Possess

    the ability to communicate and engage at all levels
