1986 and produces the best value mattresses in Uganda – a balance between price

and quality. Our product engineers are continuously working to improve our

mattresses, in order to ensure customer satisfaction.


Key

Duties and Responsibilities: 


·        
In charge of preparing abridged monthly management

financial reports and submit by the 10th of the following month.


·        
The Management Accountant will prepare monthly

financial reports by the 15th of the following month


·        
Ensure that spending is kept in line with the budget


·        
The Accountant will guide on the financial

implications and consequences of business decisions.


·        
Responsible for analyzing financial performance and

contributing to medium and long-term business planning/forecasts.


·        
Working closely with other managers to put the

finances and accounts in context.


·        
Responsible for monitoring and evaluating accounting

information systems and suggesting improvements where needed.


·        
Review product cost cards every quarter and provide

highlights on any exceptions arising from those costing and their impact on

product pricing. 


Qualifications, Skills and

Experience: 


·        
The ideal candidate should preferably hold a

Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or Finance Discipline or Economics.


·        
Be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA or CPA) and/

or a Qualified Chartered Management Accountant, preferably CIMA.


·        
At least two years’ experience in a similar

position, preferably in a manufacturing setting.


·        
Prior experience in ERP environment is preferable.


·        
Excellent numerical ability and skills


·        
Attention to detail/accuracy


·        
High integrity


·        
Excellent analytical skills


·        
Ability to work in a team


·        
Taking initiative – be proactive rather than

reactive.


·        
Ability to communicate well & Influence others

i.e. clear and effective written and oral communications.


·        
Ability to negotiate skillfully to affect a positive

outcome.


·        
Sensitivity to cultural factors in communication and

listening to others and being responsive to their comments.
