Person
Africa Humanitarian Action is a
non-governmental non- profit making organization that provides health services
to refugees on behalf of UNHCR. Our
mission is to respond to crises and disasters in Africa; to enhance communities
at risk, so they can solve their concerns themselves.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Take
part in the provision of comprehensive health care as per the national
guidelines. - Enhance
access of HIV Care services to eligible clients by linking all clients
into care. - Offer
counselling services to all clients to enhance adherence and good
treatment outcomes. - Offer
technical support to TB/HIV clients to improve on treatment outcomes. - Offer
psychosocial support/counselling to all clients. - In
charge of managing and accounting for resources entrusted to him/her. - Ensuring
adherence to ethical/professional conduct. - Carry
out ANC Services. - Performing
any other duty assigned to him/her from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
Counselor should hold a bachelor’s degree in counseling and guidance from
recognized institution in Uganda. - Prior
experience in working with HIV patients for a minimum of two years - Good
counseling skills. - Ability
to communicate in local languages like Kiswahili and other. - Should
have good communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability
to ride a motorcycle with a valid riding permit is an added advantage
