leading HR Consultancy firm, seeks to recruit for its valuable client, a large

manufacturing company in Uganda with a network across East, Central and

Southern Africa.

Job Summary: The Supply

Chain Assistant will support the Warehouse Officer in assisting in the

management of the company’s main warehouse and improve the performance of the

business, supporting business growth through development of the warehouse.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

·        
In charge of verifying tax assessments and submit

the for payment in Accounts.

·        
Responsible for verifying tax assessments and submit

them for payment in Accounts.

·        
Reconciling with URA in terms of stock

·        
The incumbent will be in charge of monitoring the

system (Asycuda World) all over consignments their dates of arrival and expiry

dates advise when to pay.

·        
Compiling VAT returns entries and submits them to

Accounts for claim and respond to audit queries whenever they are raised in the

process.

·        
Keeping records of what has been imported to the

warehouse and what has been paid for.

·        
Issuing raw materials from the bond when they have

paid.

·        
Work closely with agents for reconciliation

·        
In charge of bond reconciliation

·        
Responsible for insurance reconciliation

·        
Transporter reconciliation

·        
Coordinate workflow and make sure the warehouse

operates efficiently, check inventories.

·        
Support the Warehouse Officer in other duties as

requested

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

·        
The applicant should preferably hold a degree/diploma

in business studies i.e. Procurement and Logistics or related field or proven

experience on the field of activities of the position.

·        
Good problem solving skills

·        
Highly result-oriented person.

·        
Excellent command of both written and oral English.
