Uganda (formerly known as Bokomo Uganda), a subsidiary of Quantum Food Group

Ltd, a South African listed company, is a poultry breeder that has been

operating in Uganda since 1999. The company produces day-old chicks (layers and

broilers) and poultry feeds of the highest quality.

Job Summary:  The Finance and Administration Officer will

mainly be responsible for meeting the needs of clients (both external customers

and suppliers as well as internal unit managers). The incumbent will analyze

work flow, evaluate systems and formulate plans and procedures. He/she is also required

to recommend strategies and communicate the desires of clients to other members

of the management team to ensure understanding of the clients’ challenges and

goals. The incumbent will be responsible for monitoring progress against set

benchmarks.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

·        
The incumbent will compile and submit weekly and

monthly stock reports.

·        
Keeping flock records up to date.

·        
Responsible for compiling weekly dash board reports

for South Africa.

·        
In charge of carrying out stock audits of raw

materials, spares and vaccines at all sites.

·        
Responsible for arranging import permits for vaccines

and spares, where applicable.

·        
Carrying out monthly procurements for sites.

·        
Responsible for the monitoring all records kept by

units and suggesting corrective action where necessary.

·        
In charge of controlling all employee files.

·        
Preparing all documentation relating to employees

and employee activities.

·        
Providing timely support to other unit mangers when

required.

·        
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by

his/her supervisor.

Qualifications, Skills and

Experience: 

·        
The ideal candidate should preferably hold a degree

in Finance or Administration with a high level of technical knowledge and

competency.

·        
Candidates with three years’ experience will have an

added advantage.

·        
Excellent communication skills

·        
Good customer service and writing skills.

·        
Ability to communicate complex technical issues,

with good presentation skills.

·        
Excellent organizational skills

·        
Good problem solving skills.

·        
Self-motivated and adaptable and able to work with

minimal supervision.

·        
Excellent interpersonal skills.
