solutions company. Interswitch 

Job Summary:  The Head, Information Technology and

Infrastructure will primarily manage and oversee Interswitch infrastructure,

network and information systems operations to guarantee the efficient and

continuous availability of production and productivity applications and

environments with the aim to deliver 99.999% uptime. The incumbent will consistently

develop, improve and maintain systems, policies and procedures, ensure projects

are completed on time within budget guidelines and to maintain best practices

for the organization’s infrastructure.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·        
Provide 99.999% availability and performance of the

Client’s switching infrastructure.

·        
Manage the delivery of network connections to

various entities connected to the organization and continuous monitoring of the

entire network.

·        
The incumbent will manage the installation,

configuration, support and administration of database driven business

application software on windows and UNIX environments.

·        
Manage the maintenance of the datacenter

infrastructure including but not limited to power, environmental ambience and

cabling.

·        
Ensure optimal delivery of the client’s products and

services over the network and the rectification of system failures.

·        
Ensure the smooth running and availability of all

information systems, including productivity tools, anti-virus software, file

server services, print services and email provision.

·        
Evaluate user needs and system functionality, ensure

that information systems meet the needs of users and are fit for use.

·        
Ensure licenses, registrations, renewals, etc.

related to information systems and operations and/or services are up to date.

·        
Responsible for project management for domestic and

international projects.  Ensure that

customer requirements are fulfilled on time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  

·        
The applicant should hold a BSc in Computer Science,

Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or any other related field from a

recognized Institution.

·        
Possession of CCNP CCNA, CCNA Security is required. MCSE

qualification will be an added advantage

·        
A minimum of four years’ experience in an IT and

Infrastructure department, with at least 2 years in a management position in a

reputable organization

·        
Prior experience in or knowledge of the operations

of the Financial Services sector is an added advantage.

Skills and knowledge of Network and Capacity

Planning

·        
Working knowledge of Wireless Systems

Working knowledge of Cisco Unified Communications

Knowledge of Data Communications

·        
Skills and knowledge of Project Management

Solar Winds Network Monitoring Systems

·        
Microsoft Windows Server Administration and Server
