Securities Services Officer
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Quality Service: Ensure the highest levels of Customer Service and proactively seek improvements to meet customers’ needs and requirements and where opportunities arise to exceed them.
2. Risk Management:
· The incumbent will ensure compliance with the Operational Risk Management and Controls.
· Ensure all reconciliation are investigated timely, controls are effectively exercised over all operational procedures to prevent frauds and avoid losses to the Bank.
3. Reporting:
· Ensure timeliness, Responsiveness, Accuracy and be pro-active in handling transaction processing
· Ensure real-time escalation of any possible operational incidents / ops loss / complaints to country SSO Head.
4. Compliance:
· Compliance to all established procedures, regulations and the Group Custody Policy Guide.
· Make sure that all procedures laid down in the Departmental Operating Instructions and the Key Control Standards laid down by GCS are adequately followed.
5. Team Work: Work as a team and assist other team member when required
6. Process:
· Process client instructions accurately and promptly on receipt as per the Departmental Operating Instructions relevant for each operations activity in the unit.
· Ensure that all procedures laid down in the Departmental Operating Instructions and the Key Control Standards are adequately followed.
6. Query Management: Ensure that all client queries and complaints are adequately managed and promptly responded to in a timely manner as per the Service Level Agreement with the clients.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The ideal candidate should preferably hold a relevant University Degree
· Good customer relations / goal oriented
· Tactful and good interpersonal skills
· Hardworking and willing to work in a team
· Self-motivated individual
· Basic IT and Organizational skills
· Basic banking knowledge and an understanding of the account opening process and requirements is an added advantage.
· Detailed knowledge of Operational procedures is an added advantage
· Working Knowledge of the Banks core system eBBS is an added advantage
