Job Summary: The Bond

Officer will manage all shipping documentation and the entire imports process

including cargo transit, clearing at the Port and Boarder whilst in liaison

with respective Agencies including URA, clearing firms, shipping lines etc in

line with the imports procedures and guiding regulations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Process
  
  imports of goods from various destinations of the world for both food and
  
  non-consumable products.


• Manage
  
  imports clearing from the Port, boarder in liaison with concerned
  
  government Agencies.


• Follow
  
  up with oversee team for timely shipment of goods and respective documents
  
  required for shipment.


• Work
  
  in liaison with the clearing agencies at Port and local boarder for timely
  
  and hassle free delivery of goods.


• Manage
  
  the Custom Bonded Warehouse and the related activities.


• Prepare
  
  and submit periodic reports on imports related activities to management.


• Perform
  
  any other duties as assigned by the Imports Manager.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

• The
  
  Bonds Officer should hold a Bachelor’s degree in a business related course
  
  from a recognized University.


• At
  
  least five years’ practical experience in the same or similar positions
  
  with a mid to large size companies.


• Detailed
  
  knowledge and understanding of port, boarder clearance process and documentation.


• Working
  
  knowledge and understanding of the work process of relevant government
  
  agencies on imports.


• Excellent
  
  oral and written communication skills.


• Excellent
  
  interpersonal relation and team building skills.
