The Technical Brewer will offer timely technical expertise to the shift teams, in order to optimize the process and performance measures for a brewing process area, whilst conforming to manualised standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide technical expertise by interrogating production process, controlling documentation and actual performance to ensure that the process is operating to the written standards.
· Carry out analysis to identify deviations and implement recommendations to correct. This includes obtaining process issues and job cards from the shift teams as well implementing and auditing brewing standards.
· Effectively optimize production processes and Support technical projects
· Facilitate team problem solving & decision making techniques and principles
· Mentor the shift team through facilitating effective team dynamics as well as support the team leaders in self and team development and communicate effectively in the workplace

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The Technical Brewer should hold a BSc Food Science and Technology, Process Engineer, Biochemistry and Microbiology
· Possession of an IBD Diploma in Brewing is an added advantage
· A minimum of two years’ experience in Brewing Process Operations
· Broad knowledge and understanding of process control within a brewing/process environment
· Assertive and analytical
· Proven leadership ability
· Broad understanding of the principles and techniques of problem solving
