an affiliate of ASA international Holding which is registered in Mauritius

(”ASA International”). ASA International is a holding company that owns and

operates microfinance institutions in different countries in Africa & Asia.

The major objective of ASA Limited is to offer affordable, flexible and

need-responsive micro-finance products and services to the economically active

poor people in Uganda. This company is staffed by Ugandan personnel, who are

responsible for the day-to-day operations, with guidance from a handful of

expatriate Bangladeshi professionals. It is a subsidiary of ASA International

one of the largest Microfinances in the world. 

Our Head Office is located at Plot 228 Buye, Kigowa road, Ntinda.


Job Summary: The Internal

Auditor will be responsible for rendering an independent, objective evaluation

of effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes of the

microfinance bank and to make improvements where necessary.  The Internal Auditor is a Head of Department

reporting to the Board of Director’s Internal Audit Committee and is expected

to make substantial contributions to the strategy and leadership of the

organization.


Key Duties and Responsibilities: 


·        
Managing or conducting performance, operational,

financial, IT and compliance audit assignments in the organization with

emphasis on a risk-based approach designed to assist management in the

attainment of their objectives


·        
Development and execution of the subsidiary audit

plan


·        
Provision of consulting services to the management

and staff.


·        
In charge of the development of the Internal Audit

department, including hiring, training and supervision to internal auditing

staff.


·        
S/he maintains all organizational and professional

ethical standards and ensures internal audit activities are carried out in

compliance with The IIA’s standards


Qualifications, Skills and

Experience: 


·        
The applicant should hold a Bachelor’s degree in

Accounting, Financial management or any related field such as ACCA/CPA level

III.


·        
At least two years’ experience


·        
Age: Below 32 years
