KSK Associates
is a Professional Services Firm that provides Financial Consultancy Services
including Assurance and Business Advisory Services, Business Planning,
Feasibility studies & Project Proposal Preparation, Human Resource, Risk
Management and Information System Solutions. They would like to recruit for a
valuable client which deals in property development in Uganda.
Job Summary: The Accounts
and Administration Officer will be responsible for financial management and
preparation of financial statements for the company.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·
Entering approved payment requests into accounting
software and file all accounting documents in a professional matter;
·
The incumbent will be processing and preparation of
payment vouchers and supporting documentation for both cash and bank payments
to suppliers;
·
Posting tax invoices and receipts in the accounting
system;
·
In charge of filing of monthly VAT,PAYE and NSSF
returns and any other statutory returns;
·
Prepare and submit quarterly financial reports due
for Board of Directors;
·
Ensure that spending is kept in line with the
budget;
·
Supervise inventory verification and counts on a
periodic basis of building materials and other items;
·
Maintain and update financial systems including
petty cash, expenses, mileage claims, income and expenditure records;
·
Prepare monthly payroll and ensure timely payment of
statutory deductions;
·
Provide general supervision over the support staff
in work related errands;
·
Manage various Administrative activities of the
company;
·
Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the
supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·
The applicant should preferably hold a bachelor’s degree
in commerce, Accounting or Business Administration from a recognized University
or relevant discipline;
·
Possession of part professional qualification in
ACCA,CPA or CIMA is desirable;
·
A minimum of five years of relevant working
experience in a similar busy environment;
·
Good managerial skills with an ability to make
decisions;
·
Sound financial management skills with knowledge of
computer Accounting Packages and good understanding of financial requirements
and tax policies;
·
Excellent analytical skills and ability to work
under minimum supervision;
·
Ability to maintain and keep confidential
information;
·
Ability to work long hours, multitask assignments
and work under pressure;
·
Self motivated with demonstrated ability to generate
financial reports and meet set deadlines with good integrity and
confidentiality;
·
Working knowledge of computerized accounting
software is an added Advantage;
·
Ability to maintain personal professional
development and competencies on financial issues;
·
Be a good team player with good interpersonal,
excellent communication and creative thinking skills.
