They would like to recruit for a valuable client, a Hotel in Mbale.


Job Summary:  The Head Chef will organize and oversee the

work of the kitchen staff, decide which tasks need to be done and share these

among the team. The incumbent will also be involved in some of the preparation

and cooking of food.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:   As a head chef your

duties would include:


·        
Planning menus


·        
Make sure that the food is of the right quality and

price and is produced on time


·        
Managing stocks of food


·        
Ordering food from suppliers


·        
In charge of controlling a budget and keeping

accurate records


·        
Also, in charge of managing health and hygiene

procedures


·        
Organising the staff duty rota


·        
In charge of recruiting, training and developing

staff.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  


·        
The Head Chef applicant should hold a relevant

academic degree in advanced Catering


·        
A minimum of five years’ experience in professional

Catering.


·        
The Head Chef must have a passion for food


·        
Prior experience of working in a professional

kitchen


·        
Previous experience of running your own section in a

professional kitchen.


·        
Ability to supervise Food Safety in Catering


·        
Practical Food Safety Supervision for Catering


·        
Excellent presentation skills and dynamic personal

skills
