Job Summary: The Relationship Supervisor China Business will

support the Bank in developing and maintaining a proactive customer advisory

relationship management that includes effective consultative selling and

structuring of solutions for potential or existing customers for Chinese

business entities and Traders, undertaking cross border trade and trading with

China in line with the set targets, service standards and strategic objectives

of the Bank.


Key Duties and Responsibilities: 


1. Business Development

and growth:

  • Steer and monitor the growth of the loan book

    and deposits of the sector, generate monthly sales performance reports in

    line with the set targets, and initiate key strategies of driving the

    business, through the branches.

  • Responsible for developing annual business strategies

    that drive performance, actively market segment and effectively generate

    leads, create and periodically update customer databases for potential and

    existing customers and recommend financial solutions based on product

    utilization and customer value line with the set targets.

  • Develop a standard value proposition and

    pricing strategy for the sector.

  • Periodically generate a database of market

    information on all traders in China and provide integrated financial

    product solutions in line with banking practice and identified customer

    needs.


2. Client Relationship

Management:

  • Plan and implement customer relationship

    management and ensure effective follow up any issues affecting the

    relationship.

  • Conduct customer engagement forums annually

    to update the customers on new trends in the Banking sector.

  • Carry out periodic visits or meetings to

    achieve understanding of the customer business needs in order to build a

    loyal customer base, in coordination with the Branches.

  • Recommend, procedural, process, and policy

    changes required to meet customer expectation/needs and generate periodic

    status reports.

  • Maintain an updated database for the

    potential Customers and give direction to branches on the potential

    pipelines.

  • Develop and implement retention strategies of

    customer base by carrying out periodic business reviews of account plans

    of the key businesses while supporting branches in linguistic

    interpretation and understanding of customer needs.

  • Work closely with branch management and staff

    to implement and monitor a system of ensuring continued compliance with

    Know your Customer and risk management policies in line with bank

    procedures.

  • Support branches in coordination role with

    treasury and trade finance to ensure provision of Competitive financial

    solutions.


4. Strategy and Planning:
Actively participate in the strategic planning and budgeting process of

the division.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate for the Centenary Bank Relationship

    Supervisor China Business job opportunity should hold an Honors’ degree in

    Business Administration, Economics, and Commerce, Statistics or any other related

    discipline.

  • Possession of Postgraduate qualification in

    business management, marketing, economics, and any related disciplines is

    an added advantage.

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in a

    large corporate banking environment working directly with clients e.g.

    credit / banking / marketing / client relationship management with two

    years at supervisory / senior officer level.

  • The incumbent should have eloquence in

    speaking Chinese – Mandarin and English with the ability to translate

    effectively in both Languages

  • Broad working knowledge of the market,

    industry and global events with good business networks.

  • Ability to strategically think for the

    business

  • Good marketing, and negotiation skills

  • Excellent Interpersonal and team building

    skills

  • Computer literacy skills

  • Good team building and management of diverse

    stakeholders
