Q-Sourcing Limited is a

manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the

countries of Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and South Sudan.


Job Summary: The Operations Manager will play a key role

in the development and implementation of the strategic business objectives to

achieve operational performance targets while ensuring adherence to all company

policies and procedures and ensuring proper systems, controls and management of

the daily operations of the business.


Key Duties and

Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate

    work activities of operations personnel

  • Plan,

    organize and direct operational activities

  • Ensure

    all jobs are performed in accordance with contract specifications

  • Work

    closely with all the relevant Department Heads to ensure compliance to

    systems and procedures.

  • Provides

    advice and guidance to Departmental Managers when necessary

  • Responsible

    for forklift maintenance, organizing of spare parts (Preventative

    Maintenance)

  • Ensure

    that preventative maintenance of company equipment and machinery at all

    locations

  • Responsible

    for warehouse checking, storage, packaging, delivery facilities

  • Facilities

    Maintenance – surrounding environment of lawns grass

  • Lighting

    and upkeep of warehouse

  • Customers

    returning generators, shower heaters giving necessary maintenance team

    instructions to rectify the faults on items

  • Building

    restructuring, providing recommendations for improvement

  • Managing

    the sorting of stocks in the bond area contractor’s bay (items that came

    in damage over a period of time) to put a price tag and arrange sale

  • Give

    instructions with regards to scrap and metal bins for sale

  • In

    charge of reinforcing and monitoring the return policy to customers

  • Management

    of General Health and Safety practices whilst ensuring compliance with the

    OSH Laws

  • Overseeing

    and Management of the Warehouses, Sales & Marketing, IT, HR, Customer

    Base and Inventory functions

  • Responsible

    for managing, coordination and provision of recommendations to the Various

    Stores and Departments on a regular basis.

  • Sending

    timely  reports, feedback and

    recommendations to Management in relation to the operational activities of

    the company.


Qualifications, Skills and

Experience: 

  • The

    ideal candidates should preferably hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business

    Management or related discipline

  • Past

    experience in Warehousing, logistics and Facilities Management

  • At

    least five years’ experience in operational activities

  • Working

    knowledge of the company’s products, services and operating procedures

  • Possess

    the ability to operate autonomously and demonstrate initiative in problem

    solving, decision making and proactive approach to job

  • Highly

    developed critical thinking, leadership and time-management skills

  • Sound

    organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability

    to lead team members from multiple areas, counsel and direct improvements

    as needed, conflict resolution

  • Excellent

    organizational and planning skills

  • Highly

    persuasiveness, adaptability, innovation 

    and decision-making abilities

  • Good

    conflict resolution and negotiating skills
