opportunities company is looking for bright, talented and passionate software
developers to support the increase of its activities. This position is based in
the company’s head offices in Nansana – Wakiso.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
- The
ideal candidate for the Web Developer (Intern) career opportunity should
preferably be a Second Year student of a Bachelor in Software Engineering
or related degree. - Basic
working knowledge of Drupal and/or WordPress CMS. - The
applicant should be pro-active and be invested in his/her work. - The
ideal candidate be a front end and back end developer with adequate
experience; - Ability
to create and maintain web sites and web applications in HTML, XHTML, CSS,
PHP and JavaScript languages and can as well work with MySQL or ORACLE
servers; - Detailed
knowledge and understanding of various web implementation styles including
HTML5, CSS3 and the JQuery
JavaScript library. - Possess
advanced skills in PHP and MySQL and extensive knowledge of web
optimization principles, understand slower internet speed constraints to
optimize web sites and - applications
for speed. - Broad
awareness of W3C guidelines and ability to write clean, optimized and
standards-compliant code. - Applicant
must be highly interested in understanding the latest technologies and
their capabilities, and the concepts of user accessibility and graceful
degradation. - Must
endeavour to use best practices and always utilize as much new technology
as possible. - Must
be quick and able to complete projects in the set timeframe. - Working
knowledge of Android, iOS and Blackberry development and understanding the
constraints of mobile technology development and creation of mobile
compatible sites, phpMyAdmin, cPanel and web authoring software such as
WebPlus X8, Microsoft Expression Web 4.0, Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 and Adobe
Photoshop CS6. - Database
management, SQL, MySQL Data base architecture and security is an added - Advanced
coded web site development including Web app HTML, CSS, PHP-OOP, Java-OOP,
C#/.Net Ajax/JavaScript, Python, and any other language(s) could be an
added advantage. - Applicants

applicants should be highly motivated to excel in their chosen field and
be able to work supervised or unsupervised. - The
individuals should be innovative, think for themselves and adhere to a
list of do’s and don’ts. Customer-focused attitude (Support, Clients needs
gathering…) - Flexible
work hours Understanding of cloud architecture and cloud based services. - The
retained applicants will work with the existing team to support the
development of its platform. - He/she
will be assigned programming, testing, and deploying data collection
solution, analytic platform (Web App) and customized Mobile App depending
on its specialization.
