Uganda Ltd (MAUL) is a non-profit organization with a mission to enhance human

health by providing efficient and sustainable health care supply chain

management solutions. Since its founding in 1998, MAUL has improved the lives

of more than two million patients throughout Uganda by providing diagnostic

tests and life-saving medicines.


Job Summary: The Quality

Assurance Officer will be responsible for developing proactive approaches to

regulatory compliance to ensure that quality policies, procedures, programs and

systems meet applicable regulatory and validation requirements, and are

consistent with Internal Quality Assurance goals and initiatives.


Key Duties and Responsibilities: 


·        
Ensure product sampling, documentation and

submission of samples to the World Health organisation prequalified laboratory.


·        
The incumbent will also maintain electronic and

manual records of the tested product.


·        
Ensure that the products procured are DSFDA approved

and NDA registered and that they are manufactured from approved manufacturing sites.


·        
Technically support products complaints,

investigations and reporting on the recommendations.


·        
Develop and send monthly reports on product quality

assurance with Management.


·        
Share information related to products that are obsolete

or defective in the market.


·        
Support the ISO Quality Assurance team in planning,

implementation and evaluation of ISO activities.


·        
Perform any other duties and responsibilities

assigned by the ED


Qualifications, Skills and

Experience: 


·        
The applicant should hold a bachelor’s degree in

science  in chemistry, biochemistry,

pharmacy.


·        
Possession of a post qualification training/

certification in Quality Assurance is an added advantage.


·        
At least two years’ professional experience in

quality assurance field


·        
Working knowledge of ISO Standards


·        
Quality Assurance knowledge


·        
Keen attention to detail


·        
Excellent analytical skills.


·        
Good presentation skills


·        
Good report writing skills


·        
Computer literacy skills
