Job Summary: The Maintenance

Controller – Services will be responsible for ensuring optimal availability and

performance of the unit by managing proper execution and evaluation of all

maintenance work.  He / she will also develop

and implement training & improvement projects tactical plan in line with

the Supply chain business plan. The incumbent will also develop daily, weekly,

monthly, annual maintenance plans. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and implement training & improvement

projects tactical plan in line with the Supply chain business plan.

·        
Develop daily, weekly, monthly, annual maintenance

plans.

·        
Allocate work to technicians as per their skills

levels.

·        
Arrange resources (e.g. spares, tools and materials)

in collaboration with stores.

·        
Responsible for controlling maintenance activities –

periodic checks, standard engineering practices, root cause analysis and

corrective action.

·        
Recommend maintenance mix and schedule improvements.

·        
Manage autonomous maintenance practices.

·        
Manage performance of technicians- KPI review,

People Plan discussions, On-going informal performance monitoring, feedback and

coaching provided daily or as required.

·        
Develop staff – coaching on job, capability gap

analyses, detailed and development plans in place & executed for  all direct reports and formal development

initiatives conducted in partnership with HR.

·        
Perform any other duties as may be assigned

Qualifications, Skills and

Experience: 

·        
The applicant should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in

Mechanical Engineering or related field.

·        
Three years’ maintenance experience in a busy work

environment.

·        
Working knowledge of Boilers, HP and LP Compressors,

Chillers and Generators shall be an added advantage

·        
Detailed knowledge and understanding of the various

practical aspects of maintenance work flow, and maintenance documentation.

·        
Excellent analytical skills, problem solving skills

and a clear understanding of Total Planned Maintenance.
