Job Summary:  The Information and Communication Officer

(ICO) will be responsible for reviewing and managing our website and social

media forums (Facebook/Twitter) and uploading new website contents and intranet

as required. The ICO is also responsible for web pages, maintaining content,

online publications and overseeing day-to-day management of our internet whilst

assuring integrity of web pages, quality of content and access security.


Key Duties

and Responsibilities:                                           


·        
The incumbent will review and update the website and

social media content monthly


·        
Source for and upload CBR relevant articles, audio

files, images, photographs and video on the website and social media


·        
In charge of developing strategies and implement

Facebook page development, including the Arabic and French pages


·        
Prepare marketing and publicity materials


·        
All pages of the website updated regularly


·        
Introduce regular mailings to the database to

increase traffic to website


·        
Test page-navigation links on the Website and

external websites


·        
Actively monitor site traffic and provide monthly

usage reports


·        
Establish electronic filing system with cloud back

up


·        
Monitor the web server and website technical

performance


·        
Promote the website to likeminded organisations and

development networks


·        
Guide on improvement, results and new direction in

technology to assist with marketing the organization


·        
Regularly update and maintain the NAD webpage on

the  website


·        
Publish publications on website as they become

available.


Key Performance Indicators:


·        
Updating and maintaining our website and online

discussion forums on social media.


·        
Relevant CBR information uploaded on website


·        
Online publications designed and uploaded on site


Qualifications, Skills and

Experience: 


·        
The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree

in Information Technology


·        
Preferably graduate with certifications in web

development.


·        
Database programming in MySQL and SQL


·        
Web design and programming in HTML5 & XHTML,

CSS3, JavaScript/JQuery


·        
Working knowledge of Content Managing Systems (CMS)

of WordPress, Drupal, Joomla


·        
Knowledge of Operating Systems in Linux, Windows and

Server OS.


·        
CMS development and maintenance


·        
Social Media management


·        
Graphics design skills


·        
Information system analysis and design


·        
Software development, installation and maintenance


·        
Skills in networks management


·        
Systems integration


·        
Working knowledge of data gathering and evaluation


·        
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


·        
Innovative and performance oriented


·        
Ability to work independently with minimum

supervision
