Future Options

Consulting Ltd is an HR Consultancy company that seeks to recruit for its

valuable client in the Agriculture Industry.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:        


·        
Ensure compliance and consistency with company

policies and procedures, as well as compliance with the terms and conditions of

Uganda Revenue Authority.


·        
The incumbent will record and accounts for daily

transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness of required files and

supporting documentation serving as evidence of transactions.


·        
Ensure sound cash management of bank accounts and maintains

petty cash fund.


·        
Manage cash disbursements in accordance with

financial management policies and established approval levels.


·        
The incumbent will also be processing payroll,

remits tax and other government contributions and reports to local agencies.


·        
Responsible for full accounts payable function from

procurement through payment of invoices.


·        
Manage employee expense reimbursements.


·        
Ensure timely payment to all company payees and

maintains sufficient and complete payee files.


·        
Responsible for all matters related to the operations

and administration.


·        
Ensure registration requirements are kept current at

all times and files statutory returns and renewals.


·        
Develop strategic decisions for the company’s

Business Plan annually


·        
Actively monitor the Inter- Company transactions and

advise appropriately


·        
Regularly review and advise on the internal control

processes.


·        
The incumbent will manage leases to make sure they

are current and amendments are processed as required.


·        
Manage the administration of human resources,

including but not limited to, maintaining personnel files, assisting with

recruitments and orientation procedures, purchasing and maintaining adequate

health and other insurance policies, fleet management etc.


·        
Perform any other duties as assigned by the

supervisor.


Qualifications, Skills and

Experience: 


·        
The Finance and Administration Manager must hold a bachelor’s

degree in Accounting


·        
A minimum of eight years of relevant work experience

with six years’ in a factory setting (larger than $ 1 million) as well as

multi-office, multi-national environment. Possession of a Master’s degree or

recognized professional degree, such as CPA is desired.


·        
At least three to five years’ experience providing

administrative including dealing with good procurement, contracts management,

and HR related matters.


·        
Working knowledge of local accounting practices and

relevant laws.


·        
Significant experience with computerized accounting

and strong organizational and leadership skills.


·        
Excellent oral and written English required.


·        
Proficiency in local/other language an added

advantage.
