Sasakawa Africa
Association (SAA/SG2000) is an international non-profit organization that
promotes demonstration and widespread adoption of improved pre and
post-production agricultural technologies for smallholder farmers in Uganda in
collaboration with relevant government institutions, farmers’ organizations and
the private sector.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·
The incumbent will ensure that financial
transactions are accurately recorded and bank reconciliations are made in time;
·
Prepare and submit regular petty cash reports and
request replenishment on timely basis, and maintain the files for all petty
cash records securely in an organized manner;
·
Ensure payment vouchers are processed and duly
supported with necessary documents as required by project guidelines;
·
Significantly contribute to the annual and
spontaneous audit as required;
·
Prepare and submit financial reports and present for
review in appropriate timeframes;
·
Perform any other related duties as assigned by the
Finance Officer or the Country Director.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
·
The applicant should preferably hold a University
degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance and Accounting or any
related discipline.
·
Additional professional training (ACCA, CPA or
similar certification) will be an added advantage.
·
At least three years of relevant experience in a reputable
organization is mandatory
·
Possess skills in extension communication.
·
Excellent oral, analytical, writing and presentation
skills will be added advantage.
·
Excellent command of the English language
