The Johns
Hopkins University/Center for Communication Programs (CCP) is a pioneer in the
field of strategic, research based communication for behavior change and health
promotion that has helped transform the theory and practice of public health.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Johns Hopkins University seeks to recruit an Information
Technology (IT) Consultant who will be working on an on call basis. Specifically,
the consultant will:

Manage technology resources already in use and new
systems to be implemented.
·
Work in liaison with external partners, including
consultants, agencies and vendors, to arrive at the most -appropriate system or
integration of multiple systems.
·
Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and the
potential effectiveness of these -advancements in the current system.
·
Offer technical and operational support to staff
developing IT-dependent projects and -systems including seminars and
conferences
·
Carry out and provide trainings to staff in
information systems and document best practices and policies.
·
Manage ICT equipment maintenance and servicing.
·
Develop and implement staff data backup, recovery
procedures and antivirus measures.
·
Perform any other IT functions that may be assigned
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
·
The ideal candidate should be Ugandan resident who
holds a Bachelor’s degree in computer science/information technology;
·
A minimum of five years’ experience working in the
field of information technology.
·
Previous experience with installation, configuration
and managing mail service servers i.e. Exchange
