Arlington

Academy of Hope (AAH)’s is a U.S non-profit organization whose mission is to

help children in rural Uganda reach their full potential. Our Story began when

Our Founders John and Joyce Wanda, natives of Eastern Uganda, immigrated to the

U.S. to start a new life. The Arlington Academy of Hope grew out of their

determination to give back and provide the chance for a good education and

basic healthcare to the children of their home villages. AAH also has an

outreach program to benefit local schools, a secondary school (high school) and

university scholarship program, a health clinic, two guest houses for

volunteers and visitors, and a women’s microfinance activity.


Job Summary: The Program

Director will oversee Arlington Academy of Hope through guiding and managing

its programs in Uganda, and leading local fundraising efforts.


Qualifications, Skills and

Experience: 


·        
The Program Director should hold a College degree

with two to three years of relevant program management experience. Possession of

a graduate degree is an added advantage


·        
Fluency in both written and spoken English.


·        
Broad knowledge and understanding of international

development is needed.


·        
Prior overseas work experience in a developing

country is desirable.
