African
Initiatives for Relief and Development (AIRD) is a non-governmental,
non-political, non-religious and non-profit making organization with the main
aim of protecting and seeking durable solutions for Refugees and IDPs in Africa
in partnership with UNHCR the UN refugee agency.
Job Summary: The Civil Engineer will be in charge of monitoring
and supervising constructions and all civil works in the project
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage civil works under AIRD.
- Coordinate the development of BOQ’s and
drawings for different civil works as requested by the Donors. - Follow up on all civil works and prepare
periodic progress reports on the on-going works. - Actively participate in the budgeting process
whenever called upon. - Perform any other duties assigned by the Program
Officer.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate should preferably hold a degree
in Civil Engineering - A minimum of three years or related civil
work experience - Broad knowledge, understanding and experience
of civil works
