Job Summary: The Diageo Area
Engineer – Utilities will manage, co-ordinate and provide leadership for the
performance of the overall Utilities function within the Operation department.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for day to day direction and
management to ensure effective functional effectiveness of all installed
utilities plants and systems - In charge of providing for a safe and
healthy work environment through appropriate systems to monitor and mitigate
against workplace risks - Providing for effective management of
plant and equipment maintenance through an effective planned maintenance
system - Responsible for the development and
maintenance of effective Utilities Plant maintenance plans to guarantee
serviceability and proper asset care, plant availability and efficient
operations - Ensure timely participation and involvement
in the evolution of Utilities Capex proposals and monitoring
implementation to ensure the adherence to company engineering policies,
fitness for purpose, provision of spares and training of maintenance
personnel, integration with existing installations and compliance with EHS
requirements - Establish and maintain formal
environmental and Occupational effective management and continual
improvement.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
- The ideal candidate should hold a Degree
in Mechanical Engineering - Additional Training on Environment and
Occupational Health and Safety law and management. - At least three to five years’ experience
in the Brewing and Processing engineering. - Detailed working knowledge of Utilities
Plant management and maintenance - Process auditing skills
- Leadership & People management skill
- Possess the ability to coach and manage a
team - Presentation, report writing and planning
skills - Self-starter with high levels of energy
& commitment - Dynamic and creative with an ability to
work on own initiative as well as be a team player
