University of Science & Technology (MUST), commonly known as Mbarara

University, is a public university in Uganda. Mbarara University commenced

student intake and instruction in 1989. It is one of the eight public

universities and degree-awarding institutions in the country. MUST is

accredited by the Uganda National Council for Higher Education.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

·        
Oversee students’ sports programs

·        
Offer guidance and counseling to students

·        
Provide coaching services

·        
Ensure maintenance of sports facilities

·        
The incumbent will accompany students on sports

trips

·        
Perform any other duties assigned by the Dean of

Students

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

·        
The Assistant Sports Tutor should hold a master’s

degree in Sports Science

·        
The applicant should hold a Bachelor’s degree (at

least upper 2nd class) in Sports Science

·        
Possession of a Diploma/Certificate in Sports

Management and attendance of coaching courses will be added advantages

·        
A minimum of four years’ experience in practical

involvement in students sports programs, activities preferably in institutions

of higher learning
