Background Information:
Challenges Worldwide is a Scottish Charity dedicated to private sector development in lower income countries. This year we are working with the International Citizen Service (ICS) on a Department for International Development (DfID) funded programme to offer enterprise focused young people the
opportunity to lend their skills and experience to companies in Ghana, Zambia or Uganda for a three month period.
This programme offers DfID funded placements in your allocated country and covers your flights, accommodation, food and medical expenses. A small part of fundraising is required to show your commitment to the programme once accepted.
Key Highlights of the programme include:
·Practical stand out experience for your CV of working in a small business in an emerging market and making a measurable impact
·10 week placement including 1 weeks in-country training (covering business knowledge & tools needed for your chosen market) and 9 weeks working in your allocated SME
·A new qualification – You will be eligible to qualify for a certificate in management consulting essentials, a qualification accredited by the UK Institute of Consulting, on your return
·A chance to live and work in a different business culture and climate
