Joint Medical Store (JMS) is a

Church founded private Not-For-Profit organization whose mission is to supply

medicines, medical equipment and related healthcare services, and training of

assured quality to the people of Uganda at affordable prices.


Job Summary: The

Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for efficient day to day operations at

the assigned JMS Warehouse.


Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Overseeing

    the physical receipt, verification, put away and safe storage of

    consignments delivered at the assigned warehouse.

  • Ensuring

    timely picking, consolidation and dispatch of approved customer orders.

  • Ensuring

    that products are stored and picked in accordance with the established

    good warehouse management and distribution practices.

  • Actively

    monitor stock movement and their storage conditions.

  • Taking

    part in periodic stock take, following up identified problem items,

    tracing and investigating errors and discrepancies in liaison with

    relevant staff.

  • Posting

    goods returns in the computerized inventory management system, and

    carrying out any other approved stock adjustments.

  • Plan,

    organize and supervise resources in the assigned Warehouse for timely

    achievement of expected results.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The

    applicant should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business

    Administration, Commerce, Stores and Logistics Management or Health

    related field

  • Professional

    qualifications in supplies and logistics management e.g CIPS will be an

    added advantage

  • Three

    or more years working experience in a busy warehouse or supply chain

    environment

  • Hands-on

    experience in using integrated information management system with a

    warehousing module or enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications.

  • Dependable

    and honest (Integrity)

  • Excellent

    interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

  • Ability

    to prioritize work load, use initiative, work as part of, and lead a team.

  • Excellent

    analytical and problem solving skills.

  • High

    degree of innovation and ability to identify strategies for continual

    improvement,

  • Computer

    proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Excel, PowerPoint,

    Email)
