Interfreight Uganda Ltd is the leading clearing, forwarding and freight logistics

company in Uganda.

Job Summary: The Driver will be responsible

for safe transportation of company staff and guests and delivery of cargo to

various destinations

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure safe transportation of staff and guests to
  
  various locations within the Country and documentation of the same.


• Provide hospitality to the staff and guests being
  
  transported in the vehicle


• Maintain professional and courteous behavior while
  
  transporting the guests or staff


• Safe delivery of client or Company cargo to various
  
  destinations


• Maintain cleanliness of the assigned vehicle and
  
  ensure that necessary maintenance is done and corresponding records
  
  maintained.


• Carry out routine check-ups on the vehicle to ensure
  
  that it is in adequate mechanical condition at all times


• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on fuel
  
  requisition and utilization of the vehicle.


• Ensure that periodic scheduled vehicle maintenance is
  
  completed and accurate records maintained


• Adhere to traffic laws and regulation according to the
  
  Company policies and procedures.

Qualifications, Skills and

Experience:

• The Driver should hold a Diploma in a relevant field
- Valid driving license of
  
  classes B and CM.


• A minimum of three or more years working experience in a reputable fast paced large corporation


• Vehicle Mechanical knowledge is an added advantage –
  
  Clean record; no conviction on any criminal or civil offences


• Computer literacy skills i.e. Proficiency in
  
  Microsoft Office Suit applications


• Excellent interpersonal skills


• Highly flexible and able to work long hours


• Dynamism


• Quick learner and adept


• High integrity and ethical standards


• Computer literacy skills i.e. Proficient in English
  
  both spoken and written


• Possess the ability to speak Luganda and Swahili is
  
  an added 
advantage
