Wazalendo Savings and Credit Co-Operative

Society Limited (SACCO) is an Institutional SACCO composed of UPDF personnel,

their families, Reserve Forces and Staff of Ministry of Defence (MOD). It is

affiliated to Uganda Co-operative Savings and Credit Union Ltd (UCSCU) and

Uganda Co-operative Alliance (UCA).

Job Summary: The ICT Auditor will provide assurance to

senior management and the Board on the management of information systems and

technology risks.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

·        
Carrying

out information system audits based on Cobit, ISO 27002 frameworks or

equivalent framework;

·        
The

incumbent will ensure compliance to the International Professional Practices

Framework (IPPF) when conducting information systems audits (alternatively

referred to as Internal Auditing Standards);

·        
Taking

part in information technology risk assessments without owning the process;

·        
In

charge of implementing information system audits in a risk based manner;

·        
Responsible

for preparing audit finding memoranda and working papers to ensure that

adequate documentation exists to support the completed audit and conclusions;

·        
In

charge of preparing and presenting written and oral reports and other technical

information in a pertinent, concise, and accurate manner for distribution to

management;

·        
Consulting

with and advising management and staff on various operational issues related to

computerised information systems, and on general business operations as needed

(IT consulting engagements);

·        
Following

up on audit findings to ensure that management has taken corrective action(s);

·        
In

charge of coordinating and interacting with external auditors on aspects

related to information systems auditing;

·        
Supporting

and training other audit staff in the use of computerized audit techniques, and

in developing methods for review and analysis of computerized information

systems;

·        
Maintaining

currency of knowledge with respect to relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment,

and/ or systems;

·        
Performing

special projects, investigations, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and

Experience: 

·        
At

least two years’ experience in providing IT audit services.

·        
Professional

IT audit certification, such as, CISA, QICA, CISSP, or CISM is a plus.

·        
Professional

audit certification preferably CIA.

·        
Past

experience with computer-assisted audit tools is a plus.

·        
Possess

the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines while ensuring quality

and exceeding client expectations

·        
Past

experience in risk management is an added advantage
