Nile Breweries Limited is a leading beverage company in Uganda and a
subsidiary of SABMiller, the second largest brewing group in the world. Nile
Breweries Limited is the producer of Nile Special, Club Pilsener, Eagle Lager,
Eagle Extra, Eagle Dark, Nile Gold, Castle Milk Stout, Redd’s, Redd’s Vodka
Lemon, Castle Lite, Chairman’s ESB, Chibuku and our new brand Hero. NBL imports
and distributes Castle Lager and Grolsch in Uganda.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
- The incumbent will be analyzing a wide
range of samples - Maintain lab equipment and ensure safety in the Malting Laboratory
- Actively participate in trouble shooting
and problem solving - Compile, send and present timely reports
- Actively communicate and give regular
feedback to all stake holders , - Work in Teams
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
- The applicant should hold a Higher Diploma
or Bachelor of Science Degree in either Food Science or Biology or
Chemistry or Biochemistry or Industrial Chemistry. - At least two years working experience as a
lab technician. - Working knowledge in Occupational Health
and safety policies and procedures in a Foods and Beverages plant
environment - High integrity and attention to detail
- High energy, balanced personality self-
discipline and drive, conceptualizing and innovative thinking, goal orientation
and a strong output bias. - Proactive mindset, self-driven,
self-starter and with initiative; ability to communicate (verbal and
written), - Go getter attitude
- Computer literacy skills i.e. Word,
PowerPoint and Excel is an added advantage
