Joint Medical Store (JMS) is a Church founded private Not-For-Profit organization whose mission is to supply medicines, medical equipment and related healthcare services, and training of assured quality to the people of Uganda at affordable prices.
JMS invites applications from suitably qualified people to take up the following employment opportunities a
nd Graduate Trainees programme. Driver.Essential functions:’
The post holder will be responsible for the following tasks:
1) Timely delivery of errands and consignments to assigned destinations
2) Motor vehicle driving license Class C. (possession of class CM is an added advantage).
3) Maintain assigned vehicles clean, carry-out minor repairs and maintain accurate records of the vehicles driven
4) Carry-out any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Education and training:
• Ordinary Level School Certificate
• Certificate in vocational/technical training preferably in motor vehicle mechanical field
• Motor vehicle driving license Class C
• Certificate in defensive driving is an added advantage
Experience and knowledge:
• At least three years hands-on working experience as a driver in a busy organization
• Good understanding of the traffic laws and regulations
Skills and abilities:
i. Dependable and honest (integrity)
H. Good team player with strong interpersonal skills
Hi. Good analytical and problem solving skills
iv. Well-developed written and oral communication skills
v. Able to take initiative, work independently, prioritize work load and meet deadlines
vi. Able to work flexibly and cope with varying work demands
vii. Working knowledge of MS Office applications (MS Word, Excel, Email software) will be a prerequisite.
