Stores and Logistics


Joint Medical Store (JMS) is a

Church founded private Not-For-Profit organization whose mission is to supply

medicines, medical equipment and related healthcare services, and training of

assured quality to the people of Uganda at affordable prices.


Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure

    timely delivery of errands and consignments to assigned destinations

  • Maintain

    assigned vehicles clean, carry-out minor repairs and maintain accurate

    records of the vehicles driven

  • Perform

    any other duties that may be assigned from time to time


Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The

    Driver must have completed Ordinary Level i.e. possess Leavers’

    Certificate

  • Certificate

    in vocational/technical training preferably in motor vehicle mechanical

    field

  • Hold

    a valid Motor vehicle driving license Class C (possession of class CM is

    an added advantage).

  • Hold

    a Certificate in defensive driving is an added advantage

  • A

    minimum of three years hands-on working experience as a driver in a busy

    organization

  • Good

    knowledge and understanding of the traffic laws and regulations

  • Highly

    dependable and honest (integrity)

  • Be

    a good team player with strong interpersonal skills

  • Excellent

    analytical and problem solving skills

  • Exceptional

    written and oral communication skills

  • Ability

    to take initiative, work independently, prioritize work load and meet

    deadlines

  • Ability

    to work flexibly and cope with varying work demands

  • Computer

    literacy skills i.e. working knowledge of MS Office applications (MS Word,

    Excel, Email software) will be a prerequisite.
