Laboremus Uganda Ltd is a Ugandan
software development consultancy firm affiliated with Laboremus Oslo AS in
Norway. We develop custom web and mobile applications mainly in .NET
technologies, Android and WordPress CMS. The company works as an outsourcing
partner for the Norwegian entity, as well as for local clients on systems such
as digital archives, Monitoring and Evaluation/Management Information Systems,
web portals and mobile applications. We aspire to provide an international and
motivating working environment, with high investment in the capacity
development of employees and possibilities for stays in Norway for training.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Evaluate
and decide the technologies choices to be used for different projects
·
Decide
on tools to be used and advise PM on resources needed for the successful
delivery of the project
·
Offer
technical support to developers
·
Actively
coordinate the technical work and make sure tasks are performed efficiently
·
Responsible
for architecture, design and breaking down project features into tasks
·
Break
down user stories into tasks for developers implement
·
Understand
and evaluate complex data models
·
Interface
with clients and gather business requirements and objectives
·
Translate
client’s business requirements and objectives into technical applications and solutions
·
Assess
and evaluate technology trade-offs
·
In
charge of developing and architect technical solutions that meet business needs
and initiatives.
·
Develop
in-house coding standards based on known global coding standards
·
Carry
out code reviews
·
Recommend
and implement testing strategies when required
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
·
The
applicant should preferably hold a university qualification in Software
Engineering, Computer Science, Software Development or equivalent education
and/or experience
·
A
minimum of three years of related working experience
·
Excellent
UI and UX skills along with a detailed knowledge in front-end development with
HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery (References required)
·
Excellent
understanding and experience working responsive website design using Bootstrap,
Skeleton, or Foundation (References required)
·
Mobile
app development with Android or Windows phone
·
Past
experience working with Microsoft .NET Platform using C#, ASP.NET MVC, Entity
Framework.
·
Prior
experience working Java, PHP, developing websites with WordPress CMS, Drupal,
Joomla, MySQL, Ruby on Rails will be a plus
·
Have
had the lead role on a projects through the entire life cycle from start to
completion
