software development consultancy firm affiliated with Laboremus Oslo AS in Norway.

We develop custom web and mobile applications mainly in .NET technologies,

Android and WordPress CMS. The company works as an outsourcing partner for the

Norwegian entity, as well as for local clients on systems such as digital

archives, Monitoring and Evaluation/Management Information Systems, web portals

and mobile applications. We aspire to provide an international and motivating

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible

for preparing accounts for the company, including booking it on HansaWorld (Accounting

software used in Laboremus)

·        
Mentoring

and supervision of one staff (Administrative Assistant)

·        
Responsible

for overseeing office management

·        
Filing

tax returns such as PAYE, VAT

·        
In

charge of Payroll management

·        
Provide

management with advice regarding tax and legal issues

·        
Prepare

regular reports for management on state of accounts

·        
Manage

cash flow

·        
Procurement

management

·        
Technically

support management with HR related tasks such as recruitment process and due

diligence

·        
Support

external auditors during audit process

Qualifications, Skills and

Experience: 

·        
The

applicant should preferably hold a university degree in accounting, business

management and/or equivalent experience

·        
Some

kind of formal training in basic principles of accounting

·        
Past

experience in dealing with URA and filing taxes on behalf of a company

·        
High

level of proficiency using Microsoft Excel

·        
Past

exposure and experience in booking accounts into any accounting software

·        
High

attention to detail and working systematic Basic project management skills

·        
Good

at planning and keeping deadlines and work schedules

·        
Basic

working knowledge of tax and corporate legislation in Uganda

·        
Career
