FIDA (The Uganda Association of
Women Lawyers) was established in 1974 by a group of women lawyers with the
primary objective of promoting their professional and intellectual growth. FIDA
Uganda established its first legal aid clinic in Kampala in 1988, with the
objective of providing legal services to indigent women to enable them access
justice.
Job
Summary: The incumbent
will be responsible for driving the organization’s vehicles taking Staff to
carry out official duty on behalf of the organization.
Key
Duties and Responsibilities:
·
Drive
the organization vehicle taking Staff for official duty outside the premises.
·
Take
good care of organization vehicle under your responsibility or in your control
if for a specific assignment.
·
Ensure
that the assigned vehicle is good mechanical condition
·
Ensure
the day to day security of the vehicle while on official travel/duty
·
Ensure
the overall cleanliness of the vehicle
·
Ensure
the vehicle security overnight
·
Respect
all staff in the execution of official duty
·
Perform
any other relevant duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications,
Skills and Experience:
·
The
Driver should preferably hold an O’ Level certificate
·
Hold
a Clean driving permit
·
A
minimum of two to three years’ experience from a reputable organisation
