Kyambogo University is the second largest
Public University in Uganda. Since its formation in 2003, the University
has established itself as one of the leading Universities in Uganda
offering a number of academic programmes in line with vocational education,
teacher training, hands-on engineering, special needs training, social
sciences, pure and applied sciences, entrepreneurship and management that
meet the Market remands and development needs of the Country. The Strategic
Focus Areas of the University include: Teaching Learning; Research,
Innovation and Knowledge Generation; Physical Infrastructure, Facilities
and ICT Development; Institutional Development and Strategic Marketing.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
- The ideal candidates for the Professor
career opportunity should hold PhD in Food Processing Technology or a
related field. - Also, the applicants must hold an
Honour’s Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant Discipline or equivalent
qualification. - A minimum of ten articles in
refereed journals three of which shall be vetted. - A minimum of ten years of
teaching/research experience three of which must have been at
Associate Professor level or equivalent position. - The applicant must have
successfully supervised at least one doctoral and three Masters
student’s to completion. - Evidence of winning research
grants and patents is an advantage. - Computer literacy skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership
and interpersonal skills. - High degree of integrity.
All suitably qualified and interested

Curriculum Vitae. - Certified copies of the academic
transcripts and certificates. - Names and addresses of three
referees who should be advised to send reference letters direct to the
Director Human Resources under confidential cover. - Copies of the birth certificate
or copies of relevant pages of the passport or National ID indicating
the applicant’s date of birth.
