Job Description:
This position will be part of the environmental review, planning, and permitting services provided by the Environmental Services Group in our San Francisco Office. The ideal candidate is a Senior Environmental Planner that can function successfully and independently as a Project Manager, and as a practice leader. The qualified candidate is expected to focus on CEQA and NEPA project implementation; however, there may also be work related to environmental and land use permitting and planning. The position will include business development and marketing responsibilities, technical oversight, mentoring, project development and execution, and possible management of staff.

Minimum Qualification: The applicant should be a Ugandan of:
? An Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics/ Statistics from a recognized University of Institution.
? Post graduate training in planning, management or monitoring and evaluation of projects, financial management, economics or statistics,
? Should have at least 5 years of working experience as a Planner two of which should have been at Senior M an age merit level.
? Should have well-developed inter-personal relationship, communication and Negotiation skills.
? Should be capable of working with high profile officials.

Duties of post:
? Providing technical support to the preparation and production of the District Development Plans.
? Monitoring and evaluating the performance of District Development Plans, programmes and projects,
? Managing the upkeep of an up-to-date District Development information System.
? Coordinating activities and programmes of external development assistance by local and International bodies and institutions.
? Coordinating the appraisal of work plans and budgets with potential sources of funding.
? Coordinating the collection, processing analysis, storage and dissemination of data/Information to Stakeholders.
? Appraising the effectiveness of National and District Policy.
? Providing technical guidance to Council on matters relating to planning and development.

Candidates should NOT attach original but only 3 Photostat copies of Certificates/Diploma/Degrees, Testimonials plus 3 coloured recent passport size photographs. Applications should bear the title of the post as well as the reference Number specified against vacancy.
