Job Summary: The

American Refugee Committee Counselor Child Protection will offer psychosocial

support counseling services to refugee children and youth in Nakivale

Settlement:


Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The

    applicant should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Guidance and Counseling,

    community psychology, child care work/ social work or related field.

  • Possession

    of a Certificate in child counseling or equivalent experience gained

    through work.

  • At

    least three years’ working experience in child counseling with and

    INGO/NGO or government agency.

  • Past

    exposure and experience in working with refugees and/or populations under

    stress preferred.

  • Possess

    excellent report writing, communication and analytical skills necessary.

  • Possess

    the ability to work with minimum supervision, in stressful conditions and

    with short deadlines.

  • Ability

    to speak Kiswahili, Kinyarwanda and have excellent English skills in

    regards to report writing.

  • Motorbike

    riding experience and license desired
