The Children of Uganda is
non-profit organization should support and empower hundreds of orphans and
vulnerable children to lead successful and productive lives. They help to give
a hand UP to Ugandan children and women in need and share the joy.
Job Summary: The Program Director will be responsible for
the implementation, management, supervision and evaluation of all the organization’s
programmes in accordance with the standards set forth by the organization. The incumbent
will oversee the coordination and administration of all aspects of ongoing
programmes including: planning, organizing, staffing, finance, leading and
controlling programme activities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- In
charge of Program Planning, Management and Development - Responsible
for Human Resource Management - In
charge of Public Relations and Fundraising - Coordinate
Reporting and Record Keeping - Responsible
for the Financial Management
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
applicants should preferably hold a University degree in a related field
is required. (i.e. Development Studies, Business Administration, Social
Sciences etc.) - A minimum
of five to six years’ experience in a related field at management level - Past
experience in project management and planning - Excellent
problem solving and leadership skills - Ability
to manage projects - Ability
to work independently and foster team work - Effective
oral and written communication skills - Experience
working with non-governmental and community based organizations - Must
be highly reliable and independent, able to work with minimal supervision - Must
possess a high level of integrity - Possess
well-developed networking abilities - Should
have the ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines - Strong
passion for children, education and community development
