Job

Summary:
The Research Assistant will render support in conducting research

including data collection, compilation and data entering and analysis among

others.


Key

Duties and Responsibilities: 


·        
In charge of the development of interview

schedules, contacts potential subjects to introduce and explain study

objectives and to arrange interviews either in person or by telephone


·        
Travel to the field sites to collect and record

data and / or samples as appropriate to the specific objectives of the study.


·        
Conducts and records face to face and/or telephone

interviews with subjects in accordance with predetermined interview protocol,

data collection procedures and documentation standards


·        
Keenly review and edits data to ensure

completeness and accuracy of information, follows up with subjects to resolve

problems or clarify data collected.


·        
Manage confidential and sensitive data with

integrity


Qualifications,

Skills and Experience: 


·        
The ideal candidate should hold a qualification in

Research/entrepreneurship/business/social related field


·        
Previous work experience in interviewing &

data collection


·        
Working knowledge of planning and scheduling

techniques


·        
Excellent verbal and written communication skills


·        
Demonstrated ability to maintain quality


·        
Skills in identifying and recruiting research

objectives


·        
Demonstrated ability to understand and apply

specified field and /or research procedures and protocols


·        
Ability to evaluate, verify and edit research data


·        
Skilled in the use of computer spreadsheet and /or

database applications in compilation of research data


·        
Ability to spend long hours in the field.
