environmental services company, with specialist expertise in the development
and improvement of physical and social infrastructure for communities around
the world.
Cardno
Emerging Markets USA, Ltd. (Cardno) is anticipating to implement the
USAID-funded Integrated Health Activity in Northern Uganda. This project aims
to increase utilization of health services through increased availability of
and accessibility to health services, improved quality of health services and
increased availability of resources for public sector health services. Key aims
of the program are reduction in HIV infections, total fertility, maternal and
child mortality, malnutrition, malaria and tuberculosis (TB).
Job
Summary: The Director, Health Service Delivery will support the Chief of Party
in the COP in the design, implementation, and monitoring of high impact health
interventions at project supported health facilities, including in HIV/AIDS,
MNCH, FP/RH, malaria, and TB.
Qualifications,
Skills and Experience:
·
The ideal candidate should preferably hold an
advanced degree in medicine or relevant field
·
A minimum of eight years of mid to senior level
project management experience on donor funded health programs
·
Significant experience in the design and
implementation of clinical support activities in public health facilities in
Uganda.
·
Experience in Uganda and/or East Africa region in
the design, management and implementation of similarly large donor-funded
health programs
·
Expertise in one or more of the clinical service
areas listed above
·
Demonstrated ability to manage teams
·
Strong verbal and written communication skills;
professional Fluency in English
