Interfreight Uganda Ltd is the leading clearing, forwarding and freight
logistics company in Uganda which provides end to end supply chain management.
We specialize in supply chain management, consolidation Services, Distribution
Logistics, Project Logistics, Warehousing, Airfreight, Transports, Sea freight
Overland and comprehensive Logistics.
Job Summary: The Cashier will
facilitate all cash transactions within the organization, maintain appropriate
records and ensure timely and accurate accountability of the funds.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·
Ensure sufficient funds are always available for
company transactions and any other related cash payments
·
Actively facilitate payment of cash vouchers following
receipt of relevant supporting documentation and authorization for the same
·
Follow up on IOUs to ensure that they are accounted
for and canceled within the specified time frame
·
The Cashier will maintain appropriate and up-to-date
records for all cash related payments and IOUs
·
Reconcile and tally physical cash with oracle
balance on a daily basis.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·
The applicant should preferably hold a good Bachelor’s
Degree in Business Administration with a major in either finance or accounting
·
A minimum of two (2) years working experience in a
reputable fast paced business environment
·
Highly confident and assertive
·
Excellent customer care skills
·
Computer literacy i.e. familiarity with Microsoft
office packages and other relevant IT skills
·
Detailed accounting knowledge
·
Excellent interpersonal skills
·
Honesty and integrity
