Job Summary: The Sales Representative will be tasked with growing

the customer base and provide excellent customer service.


Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure all customer orders are processed as

    per company procedure and practices.

  • Identify and develop new business

    opportunities and creative solutions in application of company products in

    the industry.

  • Carry out physical cylinder audits at

    customer premises to establish correct cylinder asset holdings.

  • Maintain existing customers and defend

    current business. Plan regular visits to customers and carry out safety

    audits to monitor safety standards.

  • Ensure the value of BOC is correctly presented

    to customers through effective use and co-ordination of specialist resources

    from within the company.

  • Proactively follow payment of outstanding

    invoices and ensure

  • credit facilities granted to customers are

    monitored and controlled effectively in line with credit management and related

    policies. 

  • Regularly investigate and resolve queries on

    customer accounts in liaison with the sales, customer service and

    operations teams.

  • Capture and ensure customer service

    improvement (CSI’s) issues raised are actioned timely and closed.

  • Actively participate in all company SHEQ

    programs and implement SHEQ policies when visiting customers with regard

    to correct PPE and compliance to the golden rules of safety.

  • Guide customers on safe handling, storage and

    use of cylinders consistent with company SHEQ principles and policies.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The Sales Representative should preferably

    hold a tertiary and post graduate qualification.

  • Skills and experience in technical selling is

    desired

  • Specific knowledge required includes sales

    techniques and negotiating strategies.

  • Proven skills in customer service delivery

  • Key account management skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation

    skills.
