and improvement of physical and social infrastructure for communities around

the world.

Emerging Markets USA, Ltd. (Cardno) is anticipating to implement the

USAID-funded Integrated Health Activity in Northern Uganda. This project aims

to increase utilization of health services through increased availability of

and accessibility to health services, improved quality of health services and

increased availability of resources for public sector health services. Key aims

of the program are reduction in HIV infections, total fertility, maternal and

child mortality, malnutrition, malaria and tuberculosis (TB).

Job

Summary: The Strategic Behavioral Change Communication Advisor will assist the

Director of Health Service Delivery to formulate and implement strategies to

achieve behavior change in above referenced health fields, facilitate the

design of supporting educational materials, and build capacity for SBCC

development within districts, health facilities and partner organizations.

Qualifications,

Skills and Experience: 

·        
The ideal candidate for the USAID Strategic

Behavioral Change Communication Advisor should hold an advanced degree in

public health, sociology or relevant field

·        
A minimum of eight years of mid to senior level

experience providing technical assistance on donor funded health programs

·        
Previous experience in Uganda and/or East Africa

region in the design, management and implementation of similarly large

donor-funded health programs

·        
Past exposure and experience in the design and

implementation of SBCC campaigns and activities in Uganda

·        
Strong verbal and written communication skills;

professional Fluency in English
