environmental services company, with specialist expertise in the development

and improvement of physical and social infrastructure for communities around

the world.

Emerging Markets USA, Ltd. (Cardno) is anticipating to implement the

USAID-funded Integrated Health Activity in Northern Uganda. This project aims to

increase utilization of health services through increased availability of and

accessibility to health services, improved quality of health services and

increased availability of resources for public sector health services. Key aims

of the program are reduction in HIV infections, total fertility, maternal and

child mortality, malnutrition, malaria and tuberculosis (TB).

Job

Summary: The Deputy Chief of Party – Integrated Health Activity will be charged

with  providing support directly to the

COP’s leadership, and his/her general technical direction of the entire

program, ensuring an integrated vision among different components and actors,

and a focus on achieving the results defined in the agreement. The incumbent

will also provide supervision and coordination across technical teams and help

to build and sustain strong relationships with local stakeholders at a senior,

strategic level.

Qualifications,

Skills and Experience: 

·        
The ideal candidate for the USAID Deputy Chief of

Party career opportunity should hold an Advanced degree in public health,

medicine, social development, business administration or relevant field

·        
A minimum of eight years of mid to senior level

experience in the technical areas listed above

·        
Significant experience on USAID programs is highly

preferred.

·        
Prior experience in Uganda or East Africa leading

implementation of similar donor-funded health programs.

·        
Ability to manage and lead teams

·        
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·        
Professional Fluency in English
