Job Title: District Planner
Ref No: DSC/ KAB/04/2012

Minimum Qualifications
Honors Bachelors Degree in Economics, Statistics and Quantitative economics from a recognized Institution plus a minimum of a post graduate qualification in planning and management from a recognized institution

Experience:
• Should have at least years of working experience as a planner three of which should have been at Senior Level in public or reputable organization

Duties:
• Provide technical support to the preparation and production of the District Development Plans
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of District Development Plans, programmes and projects
• Manage the upkeep of an up-to-date District Development Management System
• Coordinate the appraisal of work plans and budgets with potential sources of funding
• Provide technical guidance to council on matters relating to planning and development

Applications are invited from qualified candidates to fill the following vacant posts in Kabalore District Local Government, Kijura and Rubona Town Councils. should have at least 5 years working experience as a planner, two of which should have been at senior management level;Should have well developed interpersonal relationship, communication and negotiation skills;
should be capable of working with high profile officials.Duties
