If you are well qualified to promote change and can demonstrate competences in relevant areas of the Central Bank, we encourage you to apply.To Plan, Monitor and Provide effective, timely and quality Electro- mechanical worksand/ or services (installation, repair, operation, service and maintenance). •Perform routine and long term preventive maintenance on Electro-mechanical Plant and Equipmentto ensure system and equipment availability.•Liaise with Head of Engineering Services on routine inspection of Plant and Equipment and provide advice on requested services while meeting safety codes, specifications and budgetary limitations.•Monitor installations of designed equipment/systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety codes, devise and outline maintenance procedures for electrical, mechanical and electronic equipment.•Coordinate activities of utility services providers and technical consultantsto ensure continued Bank operations.•Plan, budget and co-ordinate the maintenance of Electro-mechanical Plant and Equipmentto ensure continued Bank operations.•Prepare status reports of all works performed and services rendered including budget performance in order to maintain continuous flow of activities and ensure minimal breakdown of plant and equipment.•Identification, classification and analysis of risks within the different sections of the department and making weekly incident reports for submission to RCD.•Making regular updates of the departmental risk profile and register.•Generate action plan for the department arising from the risk register of the department and closes issues that may be raised by the Risk Management Committee.•Creation of risk awareness among departmental Staff.•Effective, efficient and successful operations of the electro-mechanical plant and equipment• Timely maintenance and repairs of all Engineering Plant and Machinery. •Status reports on all contractual works.•Periodic status reports on the functions of all utility services.•Section Plans, Budgets and Maintenance Schedule•A First class or Upper Second Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognised University/Institution•Postgraduate diploma in Maintenance Management of Plant andEquipment, electrical/electronic systems is an added advantage.•A postgraduate qualification in any management courses will be an added advantage.•At least 8 years practical relevant experience in Electrical/Electronic and/or Mechanical services and works.•Registration with the Uganda Engineers’ Registration Board (ERB) and/or the Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers (UIPE) will be an added advantage.•Strong organisational and communication skills and ability to make quick decisions.•Good team player in a diverse environment.•Problem sensitivity and problem solving skills•Work and Activity scheduling skills•Coordinating and monitoring skills•Should be ready to work beyond normal call of duty.Application letters must be accompanied by:a) A detailed Curriculum Vitae.b)Copies of academic qualifications, testimonials and professional training certificates.c) Names and contacts of three referees.Applications should be hand delivered to the Bank of Uganda Headquarters, Plot 37/45 Kampala Road and should be addressed to:To reach NOT later than Monday 19th January 2015, 5:00pm
