CA Global: Mining and Construction (Africa Positions) has a position available for French speaking Oil/Gas Construction Director (EPC / Mining). The position will be based in the Cameroon.

My client is looking for a skilled, motivated French Construction Director with Oil/Gas experience for a revamp project at a refinery in Cameroon.

The successful Construction Director will be responsible for all aspects of construction, foundations, concrete and steel structures for heavy industrial facilities such as pipe racks and equipment structures, buildings and miscellaneous structures.

Responsibilities:

Organize, administer and control all site activities in order to carry out construction operations and completion, as required by the contract.Liaises and transmission of information between the project organization and the organization of construction.Module resource needs of staff, and initiates the process of mobilization / demobilization. Analysis statistics CQ and initiates corrective action when necessary provisions.Coordinates with the Project Engineer on site all issues related to engineering problems and studies.

Qualities:

French SpeakingMajor oil and gas related construction experience  Experience in supervision of all aspects (plumbing, electrics and plastering)Experience and comfort in Francophone AfricaFlexibility and sense of touch; management skillsSerious and reliabilityIndependent

Qualifications:

French SpeakingEngineering Degree15 years of related experience in mining and construction Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as required. Project experience should include design and utility location projects for mining, infrastructure, pipelines, road works, public works facilities and plant fabrication.
