Our offices are situated about 6 km outside Kampala city centre in Lubowa, along Entebbe road.Key Duties and Responsibilities: Regularly inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.Ensure timely electrical troubleshooting and root cause analysis in case of breakdowns.Actively implement the preventive maintenance schedule for all factory electrical equipment.Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment including oscilloscopes, ammeters, and test lamps.Install, maintain and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices.Ensure timely maintenance of the factory power substations.Ensure his/her safety and all other employees as per ISO and IEE standardsQualifications, Skills and Experience: The ideal candidate should hold a Diploma in Electrical EngineeringComputer literacy skills Working knowledge of electronics systems is an added advantage.Past experience with pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.Ability to interpret electrical drawings and circuits.Good verbal communication skillsGood eyesight, hand/eye coordination and manual dexterityExcellent analytical and problem solving skillsGood physical health, strength and staminaPossess the ability to work alone and as a member of a team.Ability to read drawings and blueprints and interpret specifications.Working knowledge of safe operating procedures.Ability to understand and apply industry standards for installation, repairs and safety.Ability to operate power tools and equipment.Ability to operate computer-based equipment.Ability to effectively use of safety wear, insulated tools, safety gloves.Working knowledge and consciousness about the danger of electrical power.All suitably qualified and interested candidates should send their applications accompanied by relevant academic testimonials, curriculum vitae, with names and contact details of three (3) referees can be forwarded online to hr@roofings.co.ug or hand delivered to the address below:Plot 126 Lubowa Estate Entebbe,P.O.
