Partnership Manager, Integrated Programmes

In Uganda, we implement programs in six thematic program areas of Child Protection, Child Rights Governance, Education, Livelihoods & Food Security, Health, Nutrition and HIV/AIDS in development and emergency contexts.

Save the Children seeks to fill the following vacant positions and applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced Ugandan nationals.

The Partnership Manager, Integrated programs will work under the direct control and supervision of the Program Manager, Child Protection. The job holder will Initiate and take lead for regional program development, planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting on integrated Child Rights Governance, Child protection, Livelihoods, health, nutrition and HIV/AIDS Programming implemented in the region. Provide guidance, capacity support and overall coordination of the regional partners with project planning, implementation, M&E and reporting.

Preferred Skills: Desired Academic back ground, Experience & person specifications;

• A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in any relevant field. Post Graduate training in Project Management, Community Development or a Master’s degree in any relevant field is an added advantage.

• At least 5 years progressive experience in program implementation, management and development with at least 3 of those years in a management position in an international development organisation. Relevant experience supervising community based social development projects and with International NGOs particularly those addressing children’s rights and applying the partnership approach.

• Demonstrable financial, planning and budget management skills a MUST with thorough knowledge of proposal development and program implementation.

• Experience of developing, maintaining and improving relationships with local governments, UN Agencies and other NGOs.

• Strategic management, people management and good interpersonal skills

• Computer literacy skills in MS Office applications, word, excel, PowerPoint, Spread sheets

• Facilitation and presentation skills

• Ability and willingness to undertake periodic field travel to upcountry and in insecure areas.
